Wednesday’s PIAA playoff predictions

There are six District 2 teams left pursuing state championships – one, the Dallas boys, in the state semifinals and five others trying to get there.

District 2 teams play in the state quarterfinals in Class 6A, 3A and 2A boys, along with 4A girls, Wednesady.

NEPABasketball.com editor Tom Robinson, who covers and writes about District 2 basketball for the website, is once again predicting the outcomes of games throughout the state tournament after also picking all the games in the District 2 tournament.

His predictions for the Wednesday games are below.

WHAT TO EXPECT

District 2 teams are guaranteed with finishing this year’s state tournament with a .500 or better combined record because of their early-round success. District 2 teams are 21-15 with six teams still in title contention. Getting a team or teams through Wednesday’s five games to join the Dallas boys in the state semifinals will be difficult.
