Lackawanna League Division 4 Forest City, Susquehanna and Elk Lake all won on the road Tuesday in non-league boys games.
The wins were the first for each team and their division as a whole was 3-6 prior to going 3-1 Tuesday. Forest City’s win came in its second game of the season; Susquehanna was playing its third game and Elk Lake was in its season opener.
Forest City 60, Honesdale 53
Dylan Bezek and Evan Piatak led Forest City to the victory.
Bezek scored 21 points while Piatak hit five 3-pointers while scoring 19.
D.J. Heath chipped in with nine points.
The Foresters outscored the Hornets in the first three quarters to build a 45-34 lead.
Bezek had eight points in the first quarter for a 21-15 start. Honesdale’s Nick Hugaboom made three of his six 3-pointers and scored 11 of his 21 points in the quarter.
Piatak had three first-half, 3-pointers for a 31-22 lead at the break, then hit two more while scoring eight points in the third quarter.
Hugaboom had two 3-pointers, Karter Kromko scored four points and Joe Taraschuk made a 3-pointer as Honesdale tried to pull together a fourth-quarter comeback.
Kromko finished with 10 points.
Susquehanna 47, Western Wayne 28
Spencer Beamer and Colton Stone scored 18 points each to lead Susquehanna, which opened a 32-14 lead after three quarters.
Stone had 14 of his 18 points in the first half when he had two of his three 3-pointers.
Beamer also made two 3-pointers in the first half, then worked inside the arc for his 12 second-half points.
Ryan Vinton led Western Wayne with six points.
Elk Lake 52, Northeast Bradford 37
Matt Mowry led Elk Lake with 23 points.
Jake Gustin had 9 of his 10 points in the first half and Mowry scored 13 in the second half.
Caden Ramey pitched in with nine points.
Wallenpaupack 68, Lakeland 41
T.J. Schmalzle led Wallenpaupack to the road victory with 21 points.
Schmalzle and Landon Calabrese scored five points each to help the Buckhorns to a 15-7 victory, then pulled away from there by outscoring the Chiefs in each quarter.
Joey Dunstone led Lakeland with 11 points.
Tunkhannock 77, Mountain View 33
Dylan Mateus scored 20 points in the Tunkhannock romp.
J.C. Zona hit three 3-pointers while adding 15 points and Josh Brown had 12.
Mountain View was led by Tanner Stout with eight points.
Wilkes-Barre Area 76, Hanover Area 49
Samir Hill scored 21 points and Naquan Santos-Hollman added 17 to lead Wilkes-Barre Area to the win.
Wilkes-Barre Area’s Brandon Benjamin and Hanover Area’s Sedrick Beasley each scored 10 points.
Williamsport 42, Scranton Prep 40
Williamsport overcame a seven-point halftime deficit, then beat host Scranton Prep on Kenon Brown’s jumper at the buzzer.
Robert Rossi led Scranton Prep with 15 points. Matt Cobb hit a pair of 3-pointers and added 12.
