Wyatt Casselbury scored the winning points, then prevented the tying points that would have forced overtime Wednesday night.
When he was done, Casselbury had helped Elk Lake complete its repeat of the Lackawanna League Division 4 boys title with a 53-51 win at Mountain View.
Casselbury grabbed an offensive rebound and turned it into the layup that broke a tie and closed the scoring with seven seconds left. He then blocked a close-range attempt by Mountain View to preserve the win.
Elk Lake closed out its regular season at 11-1 in the division and 16-6 overall, finishing one game in front of Blue Ridge, which had earlier completed a 10-2 season.
Caden Ramey led a balanced Elk Lake attack with 13 points while Casselbury and Matt Mowry added 12 each.
Ryan Henke scored 20 points to lead Mountain View, which recovered from a 31-22 halftime deficit to head down the stretch tied.
Ryan Drake added 10 points.
Mountain View, which is 7-11 overall, finished division play at 6-6.
