Roberto Clemente Charter ran out to a big lead after one quarter and Forest City was unable to recover Saturday when it was eliminated from the District 2-11 Class A Subregional boys tournament with a 62-47, quarterfinal, road loss.
The Foresters fell behind, 23-5, after one quarter and gradually worked their way back into the game.
Chris Ceballos scored 17 of his game-high 24 points in the second half to keep Clemente Charter in front. Syncere Dixon had 15 of his 19 in the first half.
Dylan Bezek led Forest City with 20 points and D.J. Heath added 13.
Bezek had four of Forest City’s first-quarter points, then hit two 3-pointers while scoring 10 in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 32-19 at halftime.
The Foresters lost their last four games and finished 8-15.
