Warriors clinch at least tie for first

Trevor Graham scored 15 points Thursday night when Elk Lake routed Lackawanna Trail, 55-22, to clinch at least a tie for first place in Lackawanna League Division 4 boys basketball.

The defending champion Warriors improved to 10-1 in the division with one game to play Wednesday at Mountain View.

Graham had 12 points, with the help of three 3-pointers, in the first half.

The Warriors held the Lions without a second-quarter field goal while taking a 24-7 halftime lead. They extended the lead to 37-11 through three quarters.

Matt Mowry added 14 points in the win. Wyatt Casselbury had 10.

Brycen Decker led Lackawanna Trail with nine points.

Elk Lake has won seven straight to improve to 15-5 overall going into a non-league game at Riverside Monday.
