Mario Samony scored 20 points, including the winning basket in overtime Monday night, when Old Forge upset host Mid Valley, 47-44, in a Lackawanna League Division 3 boys game.
Samony got to an offensive rebound and converted it into the game-winner, putting the Blue Devils ahead, 45-44, with 1:40 left in overtime.
After Samony made one of two free throws with 1:07 left and Ayden Davitt did the same with 12.7 seconds remaining.
The loss, the second straight by Mid Valley, dropped the Spartans to 6-2 in the division and tied with Holy Cross.
Riverside prevented Dunmore from making it a three-way tie, winning 61-42 and putting the Vikings with the Bucks one game behind the two leaders.
The Spartans, who are 13-4 overall, got 22 points from Danny Nemitz, who led a late rally to force overtime.
Old Forge fouled Nemitz on 3-point attempts twice in the last 12 seconds and made five of six free throws.
Nemitz hit all three the first time to pull the Spartans within 40-39.
After Matt Kuckla made one of two free throws for the Blue Devils, Nemitz was fouled again with 5.7 seconds left.
Nemitz missed the first attempt, but made the other two to force the extra session.
Old Forge improved to 2-4 in the division and 7-7 overall.
