Tyson Thomas hit a moving 3-pointer over a defender with 1.6 seconds left Sunday night to lift Allentown Central Catholic over Holy Redeemer, 43-40, in the last of five games in the Hoop Group Lehigh Valley Showcase at Parkland High School.
Thomas scored 16 points and was named the Most Valuable Player of the Game.
Justice Shoats scored 8 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter while rallying the Royals into a late tie.
Matt Prociak and Jacob Hunter added eight points each in the loss.
Holy Redeemer is unbeaten through 10 games in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2, where it has clinched at least a tie for first place, and is 16-3 overall.
Allentown Central Catholic is 18-3.
