Jason Shields and Tony Battaglia were honored last season when Scranton won its first Lackawanna League Division 1 boys title in nine years.
After playing leading roles in a title repeat by the Knights, Shields is again the Player of the Year and Battaglia again the Coach of the Year on the Lackawanna Division 1 all-star team, selected by NEPABasketball.com and released Friday night.
Scranton Prep’s Robert Rossi joins them, repeating as a first-team selection, on a team that is otherwise made up of nine newcomers.
Scranton, Scranton Prep and Abington Heights, the three teams that went into final night of the regular season with a shot at the title, each have two players among the top six – the Player of the Year and five first-team selections.
