Michael Samsell scored 17 points to lead four Riverside scorers in double figures Dec. 17 when the Vikings became the first District 2 boys team to reach 4-0 with a 66-42, non-league rout of visiting Honesdale.
Anthony Karpinski added 15 points, Matthew Godlewski had 14 and Frankie Antoniacci had 12.
The Vikings took leads of 15-7 after one quarter and 32-16 at halftime.
Honesdale got 15 points from Karter Kromko and 14 from Nate Hugaboom.
In other boys non-league and tournament action from Dec. 17:
Lakeland 37, Western Wayne 34
Joey Dunstone and freshman Nathan Hunt scored 12 points each to help Lakeland get past Western Wayne and into the final of the Cal King Tournament at Lackawanna Trail.
It was the only tournament game of the night.
The tournament was reduced from four to three teams when Lake-Lehman’s sports program was shut down because of COVID.
Ryan Vinton led Western Wayne with 17 points.
Valley View 61, Hanover Area 33
Taheed Jewell scored 12 points to lead the Valley View rout.
L.V. Pegula added 11 points. Four other Cougars finished with between six and nine points.
Mike Merth led Hanover Area with 11.
Trinity 57, Wilkes-Barre Area 51
Bryan Clarke scored 11 points for Wilkes-Barre in its loss at home to the District 3 opponent.
Williamsport 40, Crestwood 32
Williamsport limited host Crestwood to eight second-half points to pull out the win.
