Bella Hill and Deanna Wallace each drained four 3-pointers as Dallas opened its WVC Division 1 title defense by winning at Pittston Area.
The Lady Patriots were playing their first game under new head coach Jeff Gregory.
Dallas made five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter when it scored 24 points to add to a four-point lead.
Hill had three of those 3-pointers while scoring 14 of her 18 points in the quarter.
Wallace finished with 14 points.
Kallie Booth led Pittston Area with 24 points.
Hazleton Area 46, Crestwood 43
Brooke Boretski scored 14 points while Olivia Wolk and Julia Mrochko added 12 each for Hazleton Area in the Division 1 game.
The Lady Cougars, ranked fifth among Big Schools in the Super Six, had tied for first place last year before losing in a playoff. They improved to 2-1 overall.
Crestwood (1-1) was winless in the division a year ago.
Helena Jardine scored 16 points to lead the Lady Comets.
Jardine had six points in the first quarter to help Crestwood to an 11-9 lead.
The teams were tied at halftime, before Hazleton Area took a 35-32 lead into the fourth quarter.
Jardine went 6-for-6 from the line and scored eight points in the fourth quarter.
Isabella Caporuscio had eight of her nine points for Crestwood during the second half.
Holy Redeemer 45, Wyoming Seminary 32
Aleia Atherton scored 12 points and Karissa Spade added 10 while Holy Redeemer used an advantage on the boards to defeat visiting Wyoming Seminary and open defense of its WVC Division 2 title.
Spade was effective while playing reduced minutes after missing the opener with an injury.
The Lady Royals, ranked fourth among Big Schools, took a 16-5 lead after one quarter.
Maddie Olshemski scored 17 points to lead Wyoming Seminary, the fifth-ranked Small School team.
Holy Redeemer is 2-0 overall. Wyoming Seminary is 0-2.
Lake-Lehman 52, Hanover Area 7
Lake-Lehman held Hanover Area scoreless in the first and third quarters and to a single point in the fourth quarter while improving to 3-0 overall while winning the WVC Division 2 opener.
The Lady Knights led 20-0 after one quarter.
Halle Jones scored 14 points in the win and Brenna Hunt added 11.
Hannah Salwoski hit two 3-pointers while scoring six of the Hanover Area points.
Wyoming Area 42, Tunkhannock 31
Morgan Janeski scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Wyoming Area.
Janeski had 10 of her points while Wyoming Area was taking an 18-0 lead in the first 12 minutes.
North Schuylkill 63, Nanticoke 24
Nanticoke dropped a non-league game to slip to 0-3.
