Pittston Area bounced back strong from its first loss of the season.
Kallie Booth scored 19 points and the Lady Patriots held host Wyoming Valley West to 10 second-half points while posting a 52-32, Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 girls victory Monday night.
Pittston Area won the only girls game played in District 2 Monday to improve to 1-1 in the division and 9-1 overall.
Wyoming Valley West fell to 1-2 and 4-6.
Booth made two 3-pointers and was 7-for-7 from the line.
Pittston Area outscored Wyoming Valley West, 12-6 in the third quarter and 10-4 in the fourth quarter, to expand an eight-point halftime lead.
Daniella Ranieli also made two 3-pointers while adding nine points in the win.
Trinity Johnson led Wyoming Valley West with 10 points while Mackenzie Perluke had 9.
