George Tinsley began his junior season the same place he has been in every game of his college career – in the starting lineup at Binghamton University.
Tinsley scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds and made a team-high three steals in a 76-69 loss to Cornell University.
The 6-foot-6 junior forward from Abington Heights was the America East Rookie of the Year as a freshman and the only Binghamton player to start all 18 games last season.
Tinsley played 23 minutes in the opener, shooting 3-for-7 from the floor, 1-for-4 on 3-pointers and 1-for-3 from the line.
