One year after having its streak of six straight seasons with at least one state tournament win come to an end, Holy Redeemer used 21 points from Moore to defeat District 4 champion Bloomsburg, 55-38, in a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class 3A girls basketball first-round game at Shamokin.
Moore had eight points during the third quarter when Holy Redeemer broke away from a halftime tie to take a 41-31 lead on the way to its seventh first-round win in eight seasons.
Sam Yencha added 18 points.
Holy Redeemer shook off an early, six-point deficit to gradually take control with its inside game.
The Lady Royals finished 12-for-16 from the line while the Panthers were 7-for-18.

Dunmore 62, Constitution 23
Dunmore overpowered Constitution in the first round of the second straight year, opening a 39-10 halftime lead at Scranton High School.

The teams are meeting for the sixth time in the last seven years and the earliest in the tournament of those games.
Neumann Goretti knocked Dunmore out in the 2014, 2016 and 2018 semifinals, as well as the 2015 quarterfinals. Dunmore broke through last season by winning their meeting in the quarterfinals on the way to a state championship game appearance.
