Lansdale Catholic scored the game’s final 12 points to complete a fourth-quarter comeback that carried the Crusaders past Dallas, 61-53, in a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class 4A girls basketball second-round state tournament game at the Easton Middle School.

The Crusaders outscored the Mountaineers, 24-5, during a fourth quarter, which also included the 1,000th career point for Dallas senior Lauren Charlton.

Dallas had built the lead over three quarters before Timaya Lewis-Eutsey led Lansdale Catholic back.

The Mountaineers led 12-7 after one quarter, 30-22 at halftime and 48-37 going into the fourth quarter.

Charlton made the first of two free throws with 6:23 left, giving her 23 points for the game and exactly 1,000 for a career in which she missed the second half of her sophomore season and the end of her junior season with shoulder injuries.

The University of Pennsylvania commit did not score again and Lewis-Eutsey took over down the stretch to finish off a 30-point, 14-rebound effort. She made all seven of her free throws in the fourth quarter to finish 14-for-17 from the line.

Lewis-Eutsey had 18 points in the second half.

Bella Hill added 10 points for Dallas, the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 champions, who finished 23-6.

Lansdale Catholic advanced to the state quarterfinals with a 24-3 record.
