The top two teams in the Lackawanna League Division 2 standings split the major honors when NEPABasketball.com named its division all-star team Thursday evening.
Jim McGinnis, who guided Wallenpaupack to the division title, was named Coach of the Year and the Buckhorns occupied 4 of the 11 players spots.
Ryan Ruddy, from second-place North Pocono, was named Player of the Year and was one of three Trojans recognized.
Ruddy received some type of all-star recognition for all four years of his high school career. He was a second-team division choice twice before moving up to the first team last season.
Wallenpaupack’s Jack Smith and Wyatt Peifer and Honesdale’s Karter Kromko are also first-teamers with a previous history on the all-star team.
Smith was a first-teamer last season and a second-teamer in 2020 when the Buckhorns also won the championship. Peifer moves up from being a second-team selection last season.
Kromko moved up from second team to first team.
